ONE-DAY ALL-STATES BOOT CAMP AGENDA

The BarWrite® ONE-DAY ALL-STATES BAR EXAM ESSAY BOOT CAMP meets for one full day, from 9am to 5pm.  Registration is from 8:45am to 9am.  There is a break in the morning at about 10:15am and a break in the afternoon at about 3:15pm.  There is a one-hour lunch break at about 12:30pm. 

Bring with you a pad of paper to write on, a pen, and a jacket or sweater. Eating is not allowed in the room at any time, but drinking non-alcoholic liquids is permitted.  Promptness is always expected. If you have taken the bar exam before, be sure to fill in your past scores, in detail, on your registration form.  The more information we have, the more we can help you.

In the One-Day New York Bar Exam Boot Camp you will learn and practice techniques you can use on the New  York bar exam essays. You will receive special New York bar essay materials, the best in the business.  This is a hands-on laboratory course.  All course materials are provided in class, only to those who are present.

MORNING SESSION:  PART 1:  BarWrite ESSAY SYSTEMS

  1. How to write a lawyerlike paragraph
  2. How to use Dr. Gallagher's Under-Here-ThereforeTM paragraph system from Scoring High on Bar Exam Essays
  3. How to organize your study schedule
  4. What the bar essay graders say
  5. How to control your time
  6. How to maximize your score

MORNING SESSION:  PART 2:  OUTLINING THE ESSAY

  1. How to outline the essay question
  2. How to manage time while writing the essay question
  3. Practice outlining typical essay questions

LUNCH BREAK

AFTERNOON SESSION:  PART 1:  WRITING ESSAYS WHERE THERE ARE ELEMENTS

  1. How to write an essay on torts.  Practice
  2. How to write an essay on criminal law/criminal procedure.  Practice

 

AFTERNOON SESSION:  PART 2:  WRITING ESSAYS IN COMPLEX FIELDS

  1. How to write an essay on contracts/UCC.  Practice
  2. How to write an essay on code subjects, including commercial paper and secured transactions.  Practice
  3. How to write an essay on business organizations.  Practice.
